ASSESSMENT ENHANCEMENT COURSE FOR FELLOWSHIP EXAMINATIONS IN FAMILY MEDICINE

To enhance members' knowledge and skills in the principles and practice of Family Medicine.

To offer continual support and practical guidance for members during the preparation of Conjoint Fellowship Assessment.

To provide active participation and "hands on" experience through small group workshops with particular emphasis on Physical Examination, Diagnostic Interviews & Management Interview.

4.

To improve examination techniques through discussion and demons tration.

The course will commence in May. Seminars and workshops will be arranged in Saturday and Sunday afternoons (2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.). The exact dates will be announced later.

ENT CLINICAL ATTACHMENT


The Board is pleased to announce that the ENT Unit of the Chinese University of Hong Kong will organize ENT Clinical Attachment for College members. The aim is to upgrade their skills in patient care. The programme will begin in April 2002 on every Tuesday or Friday from 2:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. The whole attachment consists of 6 weekly sessions. There will be an additional orientation session at the beginning of each 6 week session on a Monday lunch time prior to the attachment. A certificate of attendance will be issued on satisfactory completion of the attachment.

Registration is open to all members on a first come first served basis. The capacity is limited to two members per session.

Objectives : 1. To update family physicians with management of common orthopaedic problems
    2. To provide knowledge of comprehen-sive orthopaedic and traumatic assessment and rehabilitation (physical, mental, social, functional) in holistic care
    3. To emphasize on rational drug prescribing, rehabilitation, physio-therapy, occupational therapy

To stress on preventive care in sports injury, geriatric immobility

 

 

5.

To familiarize family physicians with the full spectrum of acute care, chronic care, office procedure in orthopaedic.
