| Primary Medical Care Certificate Committee Announcement |
| The college council noted that some members have raised concern on the charges of the Primary Medical Care Certificate. Some discussions were based on information, which is not true and misleading. The committee wishes to clarify doubts and provides facts on the charges of this certificate. Primary Medical Care Certificate is awarded to member who passes the Primary Medical Care Certificate Assessment. The total assessment fee is currently HK$8000. This Certificate refers to a qualified member as well as a qualified clinic. Therefore, reassessment of the clinic is required if the member relocates his/her clinic. This fee is HK$5000 per clinic. Current holder of the Certificate will have the certificate renewed automatically if he/she holds a current Quality Assurance Certificate issued by the QA&A committee of the College. There is no charge for the renewal of the Primary Medical Care Certificate. The Committee would also like to remind our members that the Practice Assessment Package (PAP) is available free of charge at the college website. The PAP may be used to assess a clinic practice by peer review or by self-audit. Member may apply for CPD accreditation by submitting a report to the QA&A Committee. |
