A monthly clinical quiz is published in The Hong Kong Practitioner. Readers are invited to participate and a prize draw, sponsored by Pfizer Corporation Hong Kong Limited, will be undertaken among the successful entries each month. Clinical history:

A 45 years old lady presented with two well-defined scaly erythematous plaques on her scalp for one year. There was accompanying scarring and hair loss. There were no other skin lesions or systemic symptoms. Blood pressure and urinalysis were unremarkable. Antinuclear antibodies were reported positive at 1/80. Anti-double-stranded-DNA was negative. Complement 3 and complement 4 were normal. Liver and renal functions were normal.
