On behalf of the Annual Scientific Meeting Organizing Committee, I am delighted to inform you that our College's Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM) 2007 will be held from 26 May 2007 to 27 May 2007. In celebration of our College's 30th anniversary, we have chosen the theme: "HKCFP towards 30 years: A New Era in Family Medicine". The venue of the meeting will be at the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine Jockey Club Building.

Since the formation of our College in 1977, our specialty has had tremendous developments in many areas, including that in teaching and training, continuous professional development, research, assessment, clinical practice and delivery of care. I am confident that ASM 2007 can provide a platform for sharing valuable experiences, hearing new ideas and research, and shedding new light on the way forward.

We now cordially invite you to submit abstracts for paper presentations and posters at ASM 2007. Instructions for abstract submission are available on the next few pages and at our College's website. I look forward to meeting you at ASM 2007 and the fellowship conferment ceremony.

Dr. Winnie W. Y. Chan
Chairlady
