Clinical history:

A 76-year old lady presented with a cutaneous patch over the left cheek for two years. The lesion was not itchy or painful. There was no contact bleeding and its size remained static in the past two years. The lesion was composed of an atrophic centre, with an arcuate erythematous scaly edge over the lower pole and a slightly pigmented hyperkeratotic edge in the upper pole. Background solar damage was also observed in surrounding skin.
